How much should I budget for a GOOD QUALITY outdoor dining set?

The price of garden dining sets can vary greatly, depending on a number of factors, including brand, material and design. The truth is, that all dining sets found on the GF&I Co. website are of a good quality as we only deal with, well established, reputable brands such as Alexander Rose, Barlow Tyrie, Bramblecrest, Bridgman, Neptune, Gloster and more.

MATERIAL:

Weave & Steel - If you’re looking for spending the minimum amount possible, you could consider steel or synthetic weave sets. Dining sets constructed with these materials start from just under £200 for a 2-seater steel set and from £1,800 for 10+ seater woven sets.

Wood – Wooden sets cost slightly more than steel or weave but remain a firm favourite with those wanting a more traditional look to their furniture. Materials such as Teak, Roble, Cornis, Mahogany & Acacia are used and all of which have varying price points. A good quality 2-seater wooden set can be purchased for just under £400 with large 10+ seater sets available from £4,000.

Aluminium – Fairly similar to wood in terms of cost, aluminium sets generally cost from around the £385 mark for a small set. Durable and lightweight, Aluminium garden sets come in a range of traditional and modern styles, suiting most settings and often combined with other materials, such as, wood or textilene. Larger 4-10 seater sets start from £600.

Stainless Steel – At the upper end of the pricing scale, we have stainless steel dining sets. Stainless steel sets usually start from £1,000 for a 2-seater set, with 4-seater sets typically costing in excess of £1,400. Contemporary in design, stainless steel is also extremely durable and well suited to most environments, including coastal locations, if you opt for Marine grade 316 stainless steel.

Prices of outdoor dining sets based on brand and size

BRAND:

As with all things, the brand of the furniture you choose will affect the price. The Garden Furniture and Interiors Co. sell outdoor dining sets from seven brands. We have categorized these seven brands into three groups to help you quickly and easily choose which brands are most suited to which budgets.

Entry level – Alexander Rose and Bramblecrest offer some of the lowest priced dining sets that we provide. This does not mean in any way that they are of a low quality and can be often found in many high quality garden centres around the country.

Mid level – Barlow Tyrie, Bridgman, Neptune and Westminster are in the next tier when it comes to pricing. The materials used by these manufacturers are of a slightly higher quality and can suit a wide range of settings.

Premium level – Gloster is our premium brand. As one of the select few retailers in the UK of Gloster garden furniture, we offer their full range with free delivery. If you are wanting to make a statement and are looking for something which is in a class of it’s own, then we recommend Gloster.

SUMMARY:

It goes without saying that larger the seating size of the dining set you are considering, the higher the price. As a general rule, if you’re looking at spending the least amount possible whilst still becoming wanting a good quality set, consider looking at either steel or weave sets from either Alexander Rose or Bramblecrest.

If you’re not quite so restricted in terms of cost and a have a few extra pounds to play with, you should take a look at wooden and aluminium dining sets from Alexander Rose and Bramblecrest but also consider some of our other brands such as Barlow Tyrie, Bridgman, Westminster and Neptune.

For those really wanting the best, take a look at Gloster outdoor dining sets. Gloster offer furniture constructed from the best quality materials and with a level of design often found on the front cover of home and garden magazines.
