The Safari is based on the director's chair, a range of comfortable lightweight folding furniture which is ideal for putting in the car for picnics or a day at the races. Also lovely to use on the deck of a boat. The chair is comfortable and convenient to use with solid brass fittings and awning weight Sunbrella sling fabric that is colour fast and weather resistant. Its foldabiity makes it easy for storage too.

As the world's longest standing manufacturer of quality teak leisure furniture, Barlow Tyrie’s teak wood is first grade plantation grown teak (Tectona Grandis) sourced from Indonesia using responsible forestry practices.  Fittings are of marine grade solid brass or stainless steel. 

Teak is a deciduous hardwood tree, it does not come from tropical rainforests, it has a naturally high oil content making it stable and resistant to rotting when exposed to climatic extremes, hence it is considered the premium timber for outdoor furniture.

Teak wood will naturally weather from golden brown when new to a silver-grey patina colour, enhancing its beauty over time.
