Foster is the table that invites you to come together. Its soft, rounded shape creates a warm atmosphere, while the natural oak base and plastered tabletop exude character and craftsmanship. No two tables are exactly alike — the mineral plaster is applied by hand, giving each Foster its own unique appearance. The combination of the oak base and the striking silhouette makes Foster a true eye-catcher in your interior. Authentic, distinctive, and perfectly balanced.
Mineral Plaster
- Finished with meticulous attention to detail and completely handmade in Belgium, each of our mineral plaster table tops is one-of-a-kind. Several layers are skillfully applied by hand and finished with a matt varnish. The result is a beautiful table which captivates with its aesthetic appeal while guaranteeing exceptional quality.
- Regular cleaning with a soft sponge and mild solution of water and natural soap will do the trick! We highly recommend cleaning the table as soon as possible after spilling any fluids (especially oils). This prevents the stains from penetrating and unnecessarily damaging the material.
- Please do not use aggressive cleaning products such as Cilit bang, Antikal, vinegar and/or bleach. Do not use cleaning products with acids or lemon either.
- We recommend feeding the surface on a regular basis. This can be done, for example, with: Marseille soaps, Triple effect spray or Anti-stain W from Akemi. These nourish the surface and ensure that you can continue to enjoy your table.
- Please do not sand varnished furniture, as this will damage the protective layer and will thus affect the water and dirt resistance of your furniture.
Oak
- It is essential to realise that oak wood is a natural material with its own characteristics.
- Variations in wood grain, colour, knots and other naturally occurring characteristics are inherent to solid wood. We believe that these imperfections will only contribute to the charm of your table. As oak is a natural product, it will react to influences from its environment.
- We want you to know this: it is perfectly possible and perfectly normal that your table changes over time. Because oak is a living product, you should however take in mind some precautions to ensure it will last as long as it is meant to do.
- Like any natural material, the colour of oak wood will change slightly over time. Exposure to direct sunlight can fasten this process. To prevent colour differences, it’s suggested to move objects placed on the furniture from time to time.
- Vincent Sheppard oak tables are finished with a water-based lacquer for the protection of the wood and has a good chemical and mechanical resistance.
