Making furniture since the 1920s, Barlow Tyrie are internationally renowned for their high-quality garden furniture designed here in Britain. In the beginning, Barlow Tyrie focused on the use of teak in the manufacture of all of their garden furniture. They have continued with the tradition of using first grade teak (Tectona Grandis) sourced mainly from Indonesian plantations, where responsible forestry practices are adhered to.

In more recent years Barlow Tyrie have added to the range of materials used in the construction of their furniture to be able to offer a larger selection of garden furniture in varying styles. These new materials include powder-coated aluminium, stainless steel, Eucalyptus and hand-woven synthetic fibres. While teak garden furniture is still at the heart of Barlow Tyrie, the introduction of these new materials/ranges have proved to be very popular and continue to provide the highest levels of quality and comfort that award winning Barlow Tyrie garden furniture is known for.
