Alexander Rose Dana Teak Lounge Armchair with Seat Cushion

The designers at Alexander Rose were keen to create a mid century Danish classic design using teak and to proudly showcase elite joinery & workmanship. Teak furniture is often bold and chunky, yet the desire for the Dana range was to create furniture which would still benefit from the unrivalled qualities of teak but with a far more elegant appearance.

If left untreated Dana will mellow to a beautiful silver grey appearance. If you want to maintain the original colour, Alexander Rose recommend applying their Colour Protector annually which will enhance the appearance. Alternatively you can apply colourless Timber Shield every 6 months.

The Dana seat pad on the dining chairs is woven from a natural coloured Teslin cord, referencing traditional paper-cord weaving seen on Danish classics, the weatherproof cord offsets the teak, giving the chair harmony and balance.

The Dana lounge chair is wide and sturdy, yet still lightweight and elegant in appearance. It benefits from the extraordinary qualities of teak in terms of durability and strength. The seat cushion is made from Agora fabric which has been carefully selected in a choice of 2 neutral colours which are equally calming and sophisticated. The yarns on the fabric are coloured throughout making them more resistant to fading over time. The fabric has a waterproof backing, so the cushions can be left out during the summer months and in light showers. Cushion covers are also provided, simply place these over the cushions when not in use. Over winter it is recommended that the cushions be stored away.
